Authors:

Vladimir Kublanov, Anna Petrenko and Aleksandra Nabiullina

Abstract: The paper contains the results of pilot research on neuro-electrostimulation influence with a help of special field of the current pulses on characteristics of attention, which are some of the main parameters of the learning process. The method of dynamic correction of the activity of the sympathetic nervous system implemented by means of the «SYMPATHOCOR-01» device for improving educational and cognitive parameters is proposed. It is shown that the attention parameters such as speed and productivity can be improved by using neuro-electrostimulation. Also, it was shown that some of the autonomic nervous system characteristics, in particular LF and VLF spectral components of heart rate variability, can be chosen as indicators of human efficiency changes.

Title:

Principles of Organization and Control of the New Implementation of the “SYMPATHOCOR-01” Neuro-electrostimulation Device

Authors:

Vladimir Kublanov, Mikhail Babich and Anton Dolganov

Abstract: The paper describes peculiarities of the organizational and control principles of the new implementation of the “SYMPATHOCOR-01” device. Necessity of the device division into two blocks, having different functions, was justified. The specifics of the schematic implementation were mentioned. Advantages of the wireless connection between two blocks were shown. Particular possibilities and actual implementation of the control block via Android application for mobile devices were presented. The potential targets for the neuro-electrostimulation that affect autonomic processes were considered.

Title:

Computational Study of Thermal Changes during the Non-invasive Neuro-electrostimulation of the Nerve Structures in the Human Neck - Modelling Using Finite Element Method

Authors:

Vladimir Kublanov, Mikhail Babich, Anton Dolganov, Fedor Kornilov and Anna Sajler

Abstract: In the article methodology of FEM stimulation of thermal effects, caused by neck-region neuro-electrostimulation was shown. Algorithm of the voxel model conversion to the 3-D objects represented as the complex of the STL-files was described. The evaluation of the temperature in the biological tissues is based on the association of the partial thermal changes, caused by the harmonics components of the pulsed neuro-electrostimulation signal. Features of the thermal changes in the neck region were considered for the neuro-electrostimulation by means of the current pulse field formed in the "SYMPATHOCOR-01" device. Results have shown that for modulation frequencies in range 45-55 Hz, duration of the partial pulses 25-30 us, current pulse amplitude less than 13 mA, the neuro-electrostimulation does not cause thermal changes higher than 0.1 K.

Title:

Diagnostics of the Arterial Hypertension by Means of the Discriminant Analysis - Analysis of the Heart Rate Variability Signals Features Combinations

Authors:

Vladimir Kublanov, Anton Dolganov and Yan Kazakov

Abstract: The paper presents investigation of the diagnostic possibilities of the arterial hypertension using linear and quadratic combinations of the heart rate variability signals features. For this study, two groups were considered: healthy volunteers and patients suffering from the arterial hypertension of the II-III degree. For the study, features of statistical, geometric, spectral, nonlinear and multifractal methods were investigated. Results of the analysis have shown that among studied combinations four feature sets (heart rate, features of the VLF frequency band and LF/HF ratio) have the highest classification accuracy – 93%.

Abstract: The paper discusses the possibility of applying multifractal cross-correlation analysis method for the joint processing of transient biomedical signals received via the Radiophysical complex MRTHR (Medical Radio-Thermograph Heart Rate) for rehabilitations estimations. The results of the multifractal cross-correlation analysis application are shown for research the role of the autonomic regulation in the formation of the brain microwave radiation (intrinsic electromagnetic radiation of the brain) in the treatment process. A pilot clinical study obtained by the multichannel Radiophysical complex MRTHR had shown the dynamics discrepancies of cross-correlation Hurst exponent coincides with the clinical data for patients after passing through the course of rehabilitation using techniques of the dynamic correction activity of the sympathetic nervous system.

Title:

Remote Photoplethysmography for the Neuro-electrostimulation Procedures Monitoring - The Possibilities of Remote Photoplethysmography Application for the Analysis of High Frequency Parameters of Heart Rate Variability

Authors:

Vladimir Kublanov, Konstantin Purtov and Daniil Belkov

Abstract: The paper presents assessments of the remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) capabilities for evaluation of heart rate variability (HRV) for monitoring the neuro-electrostimulation procedures. In our experiment, 20 minute long videos of 20 people in office lighting conditions were analyzed. We checked the accuracy of well-known methods and some modern methods of rPPG. In this work, we evaluated the accuracy of rPPG methods in high frequency (HF) band (0.4 - 0.15 Hz), and sub-bands (0.4 - 0.3 Hz), (0.3 - 0.15 Hz). For the sub-band (0.3-0.15 Hz) HRV signals obtained with rPPG are better correlated with HRV signals obtained with electrocardiography (ECG). The results have shown that POS method provides the best HRV parameter evaluation.
